Born in the UK in 1970, I currently am based in Valencia, Spain where I teach yoga and meditation classes on a weekly basis. My love for yoga and meditation began simultaneously growing out of spiritual restlessness in my late teens. I pursued meditation in Thailand in the early 90's and went on to study within the Triratna Buddhist Community in the UK. I trained as a teacher in the Iyengar method in the 90's working later with the Dynamic yoga method of Godfrey Devereux. Since then I have come to enjoy the gentle and intelligent approach of the Viniyoga method as taught by Gary Kraftsow.
For me, the important essential quality of yoga and Dharma (spiritual) practice is a sense of playfulness and seriousness combined, and I teach my classes with the view that we are there to play, connect with and enjoy our bodies as well as develop internal qualities that will make us more resilient to the everyday vissicitudes of life. I feel very fortunate that over the years, yoga teaching has provided me with a vehicle to meeting many people and travel the world in a meaningful and heartfelt way.
I am studying Shiatsu massage therapy with the Hara-do School here in Valencia and have found with my Thai massage practice a satisfactory one on one complement to teaching yoga.
Sudaka (in Sanskrit, Su, happy, daka, sky-dancer) teaches yoga and meditation classes in Valencia, Spain and runs a 500 hour yoga teacher training based on Buddhist principles (BODHIYOGA) in Spain, Scotland and India.
